Collins Lake Recreation Area is a 1,600-acre recreation area with 12 miles of shoreline nestled in Northern California's gold country foothills, approximately one hour northeast of Sacramento between Marysville and Grass Valley. The centerpiece is a stunning lake stocked annually with more than 50,000 trout, alongside bass, crappie, bluegill, and catfish. Campers can choose from full-hookup RV sites with 30-amp electrical, water, and sewer connections, including lakefront spots, as well as tent sites. Amenities include pull-through sites, hot showers, laundry facilities, a general store, propane, firewood, dump station, and Wi-Fi access. Families enjoy the sandy swimming beach, children's playground, beach volleyball, picnic tables with grills, and hiking trails. A boat launch, marina, and boat rentals are available. The campground is pet-friendly and open year-round at sunrise. Additional Info: Maximum RV length: 46 ft. Facilities include 190 sites with RV storage available on-site. The lake is famous for trophy trout and bass fishing, with waterskiing available in summer months.
