Imperial Dam Long Term Visitor Area (LTVA) is a BLM-managed 3,500-acre boondocking area near Winterhaven, California, adjacent to Senator Wash Reservoir and the Colorado River. It offers long-term stays for snowbirds with first-come, first-served sites, potable water stations, dump stations, trash dumpsters, restrooms, outdoor showers, ramadas, and access to boat launches. The terrain is flat desert suitable for RVs and tents. Additional Info: - Permits: $180 for 7 months (Sept 15 - Apr 15) or $40 for 14 days. - Day use: $10 per vehicle. - Open year-round.
