Ice Lake North
About this site
Ice Lake North is a backcountry campsite in Yellowstone National Park, accessible by an easy 1-mile hike from the Ice Lake Trailhead (4K2). One of three designated backcountry sites around the forest-lined Ice Lake, it offers views of the lake and surrounding meadows. A backcountry permit is required for overnight camping. Campfires are allowed only in established fire rings at designated sites. Food storage must be 100 yards from sleeping areas using bear-resistant containers or food poles. Additional Info: Trailhead located between Canyon and Norris Junction. Hike in groups of 3 or more and stay on established trails.
