Bennett Creek Campground
About this site
Bennett Creek Campground is a remote BLM campground located at 7,200 feet elevation along the banks of the North Platte River in Carbon County, Wyoming. The campground offers 11 primitive campsites in a scenic riparian setting that attracts anglers, floaters, and wildlife enthusiasts. Each campsite includes a picnic table, fire ring with grill, sandy tent pad, and parking space. The North Platte River is known for abundant rainbow and brown trout populations. Access requires traveling 19 miles on graveled roads from Highway 230, including 12 miles on County Road 660 and 7 miles on BLM Road 3404. The remote location and lack of pull-through sites make this campground best suited for tent campers and smaller RVs. Horses are not permitted in the campground. Sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Additional Info: 11 campsites, vault toilet, hand pump well (currently not operational), boat ramp, day use parking, and bank fishing accessible to persons with disabilities. Fee: $10.00 per night per campsite. Typical season: June 1 - November 15.
