Willow Placer Campground
About this site
Willow Placer Campground is the second BLM campground in the Merced River Recreation Management Area, located 3.6 miles downstream from the suspension bridge along Briceburg River Road. It offers 9 sites: 8 walk-in campsites and 1 drive-up group site (max 25 people). All sites have picnic tables, fire grills, and food storage lockers, and are within 200 feet of the Merced River. Facilities include vault toilets, seasonal Port-o-let, trash/recycling cans, main parking lot, and self-pay Iron Ranger. Camping is first-come, first-served with no reservations. Maximum 8 people and 2 vehicles per site. No drinking water available. Additional Info: Camp fee $10/site/night ($5 with America the Beautiful Pass). Maximum vehicle length 18 feet. Good swimming downstream in late summer.
