Whalen Island County Campground
About this site
Whalen Island County Campground is a peaceful coastal campground located 4.5 miles north of Cape Kiwanda along the scenic Three Capes Scenic Loop near Pacific City, Oregon. The campground features 35 dry RV and tent sites situated along the Sand Lake Estuary, surrounded by natural beauty with Clay Meyers State Park to the north. Amenities include picnic tables, fire rings, flush toilets, a sanitary dump station, and on-site park hosts. The location offers excellent opportunities for birdwatching, clamming, fishing, kayaking, and hiking. A 1.25-mile trail leads to the beach, and there is a boat launch on-site. Pets are welcome for an additional fee. Note: There are no showers or electric/water/sewer hookups on-site. A $10.00 day-use parking fee applies for fishing.
