Haystack West Shore Campground
About this site
Haystack Reservoir is located 8 miles south of Madras Oregon just 2 miles off HWY 97. The campground sits adjacent to the Crooked River National Grasslands. The West Shore has 16 regular tent / small RV sites, a boat ramp with boarding floats, boat trailer parking and day-use area. Firewood, Ice and Worms are sold by the camp hosts on site. Reservations can be made up to thirteen months in advance and are recommended as this site does fill up quickly. Reservations cannot be made within 48 hours of arrival online. We do allow first come first serve as availability allows, reservations take priority. Additional Info: 16 primitive campsites with picnic tables and restrooms. Fresh water available at West Shore. Day use includes picnic tables, walking trails, boat launch, swimming, and restrooms. Open March 1st to November 30th.
