This is a hike-in or boat-in campground at the southeast end of Hell Hole Reservoir. Additional Info: The campground has 15 boat/hike-in campsites with no trailer sites. Amenities include tables, benches, stoves, barbecues, and restrooms. Located at 4,600 feet elevation in Eldorado National Forest. Generally open May 15 through September 15, with dates affected by snowfall. No reservations; first-come, first-served. Free California Campfire permit required. No piped water available; bring your own drinking water or water filter. Swimming and fishing opportunities available.
