According to the website, drinking water usually dries up between July and September. Additional Info: Bayview is a day-use trailhead area for Desolation Wilderness near Emerald Bay, Lake Tahoe, at 7100 feet elevation. It provides vault toilets and picnic tables but no potable water, no camping, and no fires allowed. A wilderness permit is required for Desolation Wilderness entry.
