Upper Caliente Camp is a backpacking site on a meadow-topped island in the divide between Agua Caliente Creek and a minor tributary, reached via a 10-mile hike from East Camino Cielo (9.9 miles by map) including nearly 2000 feet of descent in the first 2.6 miles to Cottam Camp.
