Tolkan Campground

Tolkan Campground is a small, developed BLM campground in the King Range National Conservation Area, offering 9 first-come, first-served sites surrounded by large oak trees. Located 15 minutes up unpaved King Peak Road from Shelter Cove, the campground provides access to the only mountain bike trails in the King Range, including the Paradise Royale Mountain Bike Trail and Tolkan Terrain Park, both open year-round with no day use fees. The campground features basic amenities including fire rings, picnic tables, bear-proof trash cans, and vault toilets. Wheelchair accessible sites are available. There is no potable water on-site, and campers must bring their own. OHV access is not permitted. Additional Info: 9 campsites (4 tent sites and 5 trailer campsites). Remains open while nearby campgrounds are closed for safety.
