Thomas Hunting Grounds Yellow Post Sites are primitive campsites in San Bernardino National Forest at 5,791 feet elevation, offering five remote camping spots for tent and car camping. Each site accommodates up to 8 people and 2 vehicles and features a metal fire ring. There are no developed amenities: no water, no picnic tables, no restrooms, and no trash containers. Campers must bring their own water and pack out all trash. Sites are accessed via unpaved forest road 1N12 (high-clearance vehicles recommended; trailers and large RVs not suitable). Camping is free and first-come, first-served with a 14-day limit. Campfire permits are required and subject to seasonal fire restrictions.
