Access to Blue Jay is only available from the Lake Elsinore side of Ortega Highway due to Cal Trans closures every other weekend. Please click the link for more information.https://sr-74-ortega-highway-widening.constantcontactsites.com/Located approximately 4 miles offHwy 74 (Ortega) on the North Main Divide Road, this campsite has 50 available sites with a varying distance apart fora true "wilderness" feel. Amenities includetrash cans, fire pits, grills, vaulted toilets, and plenty of local trails for hiking, biking and equestrian. For information regarding local and connecting trails, please see our Trail Guide under the Trabuco District.CURRENTLY THE LOWER LOOP IS CLOSED DUE TO HAZARD TREES. Fee info: Overnight Use: Single Site: $20 per night Additional Vehicle: $5 per vehicle per night Additional Info: Closed due to damage from the 2024 Airport Fire through September 17, 2025. 51 single-family campsites at 3,400 feet elevation. First-come, first-served. Sites accommodate tents, trailers, and small RVs to 20 feet. Drinking water, vault toilets, tables, fire rings, and grates at sites. Pets allowed. Year-round when open. Maximum stay of 14 consecutive nights.

Believe it’s currently closed due to the recent fire and you can check status online. Great campground, minimal cell service, no camp hosts. self pay at gate on an honor system but rangers come check if you paid in the morning. First come first serve but I’ve never had an issue getting a spot. Pretty quiet place, beautiful and lots of trails nearby.
