Smallwood State Park Campground offers 15 RV and tent campsites with electric hook-ups under a hardwood forest canopy. Six rustic camper cabins sleep 4-6 with heat/AC; cabins 17-18 overlook Mattawoman Creek. Each site has picnic table, lantern post, fire ring. Bathhouse with hot showers provided. Nearby marina on Mattawoman Creek, less than a mile from Potomac River. Note: Temporarily closed through July 2023 for improvements (check current status).
