Pasagshak State Recreation Site is located on Kodiak Island at the mouth of the Pasagshak River, approximately one hour drive from Kodiak. Established in 1980, the site offers developed camping facilities for tent and RV campers, a boat launch, vault toilets, fire rings, and picnic sites. The site features coastal views and is known for wildlife viewing including grey whales during migration, sea birds, eagles, seals, dolphins, and brown bears. The beach is suitable for walking and beachcombing. Camping is first-come, first-served with fees ranging from $5-$20 per night. The site is very pet-friendly and open year-round.
