Kōkeʻe State Park Campground is located on a plateau 3,200 to 4,200 feet above sea level in the 4,345-acre Kōkeʻe State Park on Kauai's West Side. The campground features 9 tent camping sites with drive-in access and amenities including showers, toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings. The park offers commanding views of Kalalau Valley and access to the Kalalau Lookout and Pu'u o Kila Lookout, with over 45 miles of hiking trails through native forest. Visitors can observe native plants, endemic Hawaiian forest birds, and enjoy seasonal activities including trout fishing and plum picking. Camping is by permit only, with rates of $20 per night for Hawaii residents and $30 per night for non-residents, available 90 days in advance through the state reservation system. Additional Info: The park protects native mesic and wet forest and provides access to the Na Pali Coast State Wilderness Park and Waimea Canyon area. The Kokee Natural History Museum and rustic lodge cabins are also located within the park.
