Waiʻānapanapa State Park

Waiʻānapanapa State Park is a 122-acre state park located on Maui's Road to Hana (Mile Marker 32, Hana Highway) near Hana. The park features tent camping, campervan camping, and cabin rentals with stunning views of a black sand beach and rugged volcanic coastline. Facilities include restrooms, showers, drinking water, picnic tables, and beach access. The park offers hiking trails along the coastline and through lava formations, snorkeling, scuba, shore fishing, and sea-bird watching. Camping requires a permit (reservations must be made in advance through gostateparks.hawaii.gov). Sites are primitive with no hookups; open campfires are prohibited. Only authorized service animals are allowed. Portable generators are prohibited without special permit.
