Kidder Recreation Area

Kidder Recreation Area is on the north end of Wahpeton just off 4th Street North. At Kidder there are 8 paved camper/RV spots available. Kidder provides electric (30 amp, sites 1 and 8 are 50 amp) and water hook-ups. Restrooms with showers are also available. There are two picnic shelters available for use, a dump station, a boat landing, fishing pier, and a fish cleaning station. RV sites with electrical hookups, showers and restrooms and sewer disposal. Spots 1 and 7 are $40 per night for electricity and water hook-ups. Spots 2-6 have electricity for $35 per night. Tent sites: $20 per tent site or $25 per tent site with electricity. Additional Info: Tent camping area is along the south walk path south of the RV campsites. Sites are primitive. Reservations for tents are not necessary. Campground reservations are available at $35 per night and must be paid in advance. A reservation can only be made online. Extended stays are approved on a case-by-case basis with certain limitations. Monthly rate (30 days) is $900. Campgrounds closed for the season on 10/13/2025.
