Kendesnii Campground

Kendesnii Campground is the only developed National Park Service campground in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, located at Mile 27.8 of Nabesna Road near Slana, Alaska. It offers 10 wooded sites suitable for tents and small to medium RVs up to 25 feet, each with a picnic table and fire ring. Amenities include vault toilets and drinking water. The campground is free, first-come first-served, and open year-round, though winter access is limited due to unplowed roads. Additional Info: Managed by the National Park Service. Surrounded by boreal forest with views of the Wrangell Mountains. Suitable for high-clearance vehicles; regular cars possible in summer.
