About this site
Jakway Park, south of Aurora, is developed on the east side of Buffalo Creek with a campground, shower house and dump station. Modern restrooms are available, and the concrete facility also serves as a storm shelter. Self-guided forest trails provide great walking and hiking. Buffalo Creek winds through the forest. A nine-hole disc golf course is open for public use. There are horseshoe pits, a playground, and a historical site - the Richardson-Jakway home built in the 1850's.
