Hexacuba Shelter
About this site
Built and maintained by the Dartmouth Outing Club, this 8-person hexagonal shelter is located on a 0.2 mile spur path off Kodiak Trail (Appalachian Trail) 1.6 miles south of the south peak of Mt. Cube. A privy is provided. The water source is a small brook at a spur path junction and may be unreliable. Additional Info: The shelter, built in 1989, is a six-sided hexagonal log structure with 2 open sides and a large center post supporting the roof. It sits at 1,980 feet elevation on the south side of Mount Cube. A 5-sided privy called "Penta Privy" is located at the shelter site.
