GOV. CLEMENT SHELTER (Campground) Additional Info: Governor Clement Shelter is a historic stone shelter located along the Long Trail and Appalachian Trail in the Green Mountain National Forest near Shrewsbury, Vermont. Built in 1929, it accommodates up to 10 people, includes a privy, and has water from a nearby stream that must be treated. Maintained by the Green Mountain Club. Open year-round on a first-come, first-served basis with no fees.
