North Bourne Pond
About this site
North Bourne Pond offers primitive backpacking campsites in the Lye Brook Wilderness of Green Mountain National Forest. There are three designated tenting areas: north, west, and south, with composting privies at the north and south sites. Access is via a 2.75-mile hike from the end of Forest Road 70 through the Bourn Pond Trail, which skirts Branch Pond and follows an old railroad grade. Dispersed camping is allowed in the area. No fees or reservations required. Additional Info: - North site is near the pond with a privy close to the access trail. - Trail can be muddy in wet weather; no horses, mountain bikes, or motorized vehicles permitted in the wilderness.
