Elkhorn Crossing Recreation Area

Elkhorn Crossing Recreation Area is one of three canoe access parks managed by the Papio-Missouri River NRD on the Elkhorn River in Douglas County. Located near 252nd St. and Bennington Rd, the park offers camping in addition to river access for float trips. The park features flat terrain with open spaces and scattered trees. As of September 2024, the park offers water and 50-amp electrical service. The campsite does not contain a dump station. The park is open from April 1 through November 1. Amenities include picnic tables, firepits, grills, restrooms, fishing access, playground, horseshoe pits, and disc golf course. RV spots are relatively level gravel pads.
