Culp Valley Primitive Campground is a free, first-come first-served primitive campground in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, located in the San Ysidro Mountains west of Borrego Springs at 3,375 feet elevation. It offers vault toilets but no water, picnic tables, fire rings, or grills. Ground fires are prohibited; fires must be in metal containers. Wood gathering is not allowed. Dogs are permitted on leashes on camp roads only. Additional Info: Access via dirt road off Montezuma Valley Road (S22). Spacious sites suitable for tents and small RVs. Popular for stargazing and hiking trails like Culp Valley Trail.
