Black Mountain Yellow Post #1 is one of six remote, first-come first-served campsites along Black Mountain Road (4S01) in San Bernardino National Forest. These sites offer isolated scenic locations ideal for tent and car camping, with some providing views of San Jacinto Mountain and San Gorgonio Pass. No fees. Maximum 8 persons and 2 vehicles per site. Fire rings and picnic tables available. Pack in/pack out. California Campfire Permit required. Dogs on 6-foot leash. 14-day limit. High-clearance vehicle recommended; road not suitable for trailers or RVs. Generally open late spring through fall; road closes in winter.
