Black Canyon Group and Equestrian Campground is a pair of isolated group sites in Mojave National Preserve, ideal for larger groups and equestrian campers. The equestrian site accommodates up to 30 people with horses and includes six horse stalls, water troughs, and a manure dump. The group site holds up to 50 people. Both sites offer picnic tables, water spigots, vault toilets, fire rings, and spacious parking for RVs and trailers up to 40 feet. Reservations are required year-round. No showers, hookups, dump station, or firewood gathering. Pets must be leashed. Generator use 8am-7pm; quiet hours 9pm-7am. No cell service; Wi-Fi at nearby Hole-in-the-Wall Information Center. Additional Info: Located at 4,400 feet elevation along Black Canyon Road. Wood and charcoal fires currently prohibited; camp stoves allowed. Rough roads in preserve require caution.
