Bighorn Pass - Indian Creek Trailhead (1K5) is located at the small picnic area/winter warming hut just after the turn-off from the Grand Loop Road. This trailhead provides access to Bighorn Pass Trail, a strenuous 19.4-mile one-way trail crossing the Gallatin Range with open meadows and wildlife viewing opportunities. Parking is available near vault toilets. Permit required for overnight camping. Winter access via snowcoach from Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel. Additional Info: Trail is in a bear management area; no off-trail travel May 1–November 10. Follow backcountry food storage and Leave No Trace principles.
