Back Ranch Meadows Campground

Back Ranch Meadows Campground is a walk-in, tent-only campground situated at the northwest end of China Camp State Park in Marin County, California, approximately 30 minutes north of San Francisco. The campground offers 33 spacious walk-in tent-only sites plus two hike-in/bike-in sites, located 0.5 to 1 mile from the parking area on the edge of San Pablo Bay. Sites are accessed via well-maintained trails through lush forests, meadows, and salt marshes. Each campsite includes a picnic table, fire ring, and food storage locker. The campground features flush toilets, showers, and drinking water. Most campsites have excellent shade. Glade sites (1-15) are accessed via a fairly flat trail, while Hill sites (16-30) are reached via a short, sloping path. Carts are available for portaging gear. The gate is closed from sunset to 8 a.m. daily. Reservations are made through Reserve California.
