About this site
Volga River State Recreation Area features two campgrounds: Lakeview Campground with 41 sites including full hookups and electric, modern showers, restrooms, and dump station; and Albany Campground with equestrian sites featuring electric hookups, hitching posts, vault toilets, and non-electric primitive sites. The area offers hiking trails, Frog Hollow Lake for boating and fishing, prairies, and scenic overlooks. Reservations available via Iowa State Parks system; seasonal operation with peak May 1 - October 15.
