Viking Lake State Park Campground is a popular, spacious, and shady campground located on the lakeshore of Viking Lake in southwest Iowa. It offers 120 campsites including nonelectric, electric (94 sites), full hook-up (electric, water, sewer; 22 sites), buddy sites (9 sites), modern showers and restrooms, a sanitary dump station, and a playground. Additional Info: Reservable via Iowa State Parks system; starting April 2026, 100% reservable with same-day options. Half of sites historically first-come-first-served.
