A very nice site, taken care of by the AMC. It is free to use and has a privy, bear box, bear cables, firepit, and multiple flat spots for pitching 1 or 2 person tents. The tent spots are hard ground, some with a few rocks, but not terrible as long as you have an inflatable pad. Additional Info: Primitive backpacking site in White Mountain National Forest with 6 level dirt tent pads, an 8-person shelter, and 4 platforms. Located near the Appalachian Trail at Edmonds Col, accessible by a strenuous 3+ mile hike with nearly 3,000 feet elevation gain. First come, first served on USFS land. Pets allowed. Campfire allowed. Toilets available. No potable water, showers, or hookups.
