Upper Onion Creek Camping Area
About this site
Upper Onion Creek Campground offers striking views of the Colorado River canyon and the surrounding red rock cliffs, mesas and spires, with the La Sal Mountains as a dramatic back-drop. Individual sites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Two group sites, Upper Onion Creek Group Sites A and B, are available for reservation through Recreation.gov. Additional Info: BLM-managed campground with 14 single-family campsites, each with table and fire ring/grate. Vault toilets available. Sites 8-11 are walk-to. Group Site A for equestrian use with horse corral. Access via Onion Creek Road off Highway 128.

The walk in campsites are great for tent camping. The other sites are good for rv or campers but not ideal for tents. Open air pit toilet was awesome!
