Upper Gallinas Campground
About this site
This is a small, developed campground with three campsites offered for free by Gila National Forest. It is located on NM State Hwy 152, approximately 17 miles east of Mimbres, NM. The site is easily accessed by most vehicles, in most weather conditions. The parking lot and picnic sites are lined with gravel. Additional Info: Upper Gallinas Campground is a small, easily accessible facility located along NM Highway 152 in the Silver City Ranger District of Gila National Forest. Open year-round for first-come, first-served camping with no fees or reservations. Limited to 14 consecutive nights. Features gravel parking and pull-through spaces that accommodate most vehicles and RVs. Situated close to the highway with traffic noise. Adjacent to Iron Creek. Pets allowed. Vault toilets present. Fires allowed. No water, showers, electric, water hookups, sewer hookups, or dump station.
