The Aguirre Spring Campground is located on the east side of Organ Mountains, east of Las Cruces in Dona Ana County. The high wall, needle-like spires of the Organ Mountains curve dramatically around a semicircle of Chihuahuan Desert habitat at the campground, nestled at the base of spectacular cliffs overlooking the Tularosa Basin and White Sands National Park. It has 55 individual campsites available first-come, first-served, pit toilets, picnic tables, fire rings, and water available at the entrance. Trails include Baylor Pass Trail (six-mile one-way) and Pine Tree Trail (4-mile loop). Dogs are allowed on leash. Fees: $7 per vehicle/RV/camper per night ($3.50 with annual pass), $5 day-use per vehicle. Additional Info: Open year-round with seasonal gate hours. Group picnic shelters available for day use by reservation.

    My favorite campground I’ve been to ima n long time. I stayed for 2 nights in February 2025. Small fee for beautiful views and friendly campers. I felt safe sleeping here alone. Easy to get to in my sedan.
