Upper Firehole is a designated backcountry campsite in Yellowstone National Park along the Upper Firehole River, accessible by a short hike of less than 4 miles from the trailhead. A backcountry permit is required year-round for overnight stays at designated sites. Additional Info: Activities include hiking, trail running, and snowshoeing.
