Turbine Canyon Backcountry Campground is located in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park in the Kananaskis region, 15.1 km from the North Interlakes Day Use trailhead via Upper Kananaskis Lake Circuit/Three Isle Lake/Maude-Lawson Trail. The campground sits on a bench near treeline at approximately 2200m elevation above the confluence of Maude Brook and the Upper Kananaskis River, named after the impressive narrow canyon downstream from the campsite. The site features 12 tent sites nestled in the forest beside Maude Creek, with some campsites having wood chips and others having wooden platforms. Amenities include pit/vault toilets, bear lockers for food storage, and metal picnic tables. Water is available from Maude Brook. No campfires are permitted. The area offers tremendous mountain views and is suitable for backpacking and multi-day hiking trips.
