Sulphur Gates Campground is located in Sulphur Gates Provincial Recreation Area, 5 km north and 7 km west of Grande Cache off Hwy. 40. Open year-round, it offers 15 unserviced campsites and 22 equestrian sites complete with corrals, hitching rails, and loading ramps. There are sites suitable for tents, RVs, equestrian users and backpackers going into Willmore Wilderness Park. A short trail leads to lookout platforms with spectacular views of the Sulphur River Canyon and the Smoky River. Additional Info: Hikers Canyon Campground within the area has 11 unserviced tent sites at $30/night, non-reservable, with non-potable water. Saddle Ridge Equestrian Campground nearby has 22 equestrian sites.
