About this site

Trinity Lake Shoreline camping is permitted in Shasta-Trinity National Forest along several hundred miles of shoreline, excluding restricted areas such as bald eagle nesting sites. Dispersed camping requires camping at least 200 feet from water sources, trails, roads, meadows, springs, and a quarter-mile from developed campgrounds, picnic areas, and trailheads. No potable water, restrooms, or other facilities are provided at shoreline dispersed sites. Additional Info: Shoreline camping is year-round where permitted. Some specific inlets like Jones Valley provide seasonal portable restrooms and trash service (March 1 - October 31); otherwise pack-in pack-out.
