Thorpe Park is a 160-acre multiple-use county park in Winnebago County, Iowa, featuring 15-acre Lake Catherine for fishing and boating (canoeing and electric motors only), wetlands, oak-hickory savanna, prairie areas, hiking trails, picnic areas with tables and grills, playground, and a rental cabin. The campground offers 13 electric sites at $12/night and 2 non-electric sites at $8/night, with pit toilets, drinking water, and a central water spigot. Open seasonally from May to October; call for reservations and exact dates. Additional Info: Home to Winnebago County Conservation Board offices. Hunting allowed (upland, wetland, forest; restrictions on deer, turkey, and waterfowl on Lake Catherine). Fish structures in Lake Catherine.
