Tamarack Horse Campground

Tamarack Horse Campground is located in St. Croix State Forest near Hinckley, Minnesota. The campground comprises 3 loops and offers 55 pull-in and pull-through campsites designed specifically for horse camping. Each campsite includes a cleared area, fire ring, and picnic table, with picket lines and manure bunkers provided for horses. Amenities include vault toilets, garbage cans, and drinking water. A day-use rider parking lot is available. Horses can be watered at the Tamarack River which flows by the campground. Approximately 25 miles of horse trails are available within St. Croix State Forest. All sites are first-come, first-served at $16 per night. A Minnesota Horse Trail Pass is required.
