Sykes Camp

Sykes Camp is a backcountry campsite located in the Ventana Wilderness along the Pine Ridge Trail near Big Sur, California. The camp sits along the Big Sur River surrounded by redwoods and natural hot springs. It is one of the most heavily used camps along the Pine Ridge Trail. Campsite occupancy numbers are posted and cannot be exceeded for health and safety reasons. There is no reservation system; sites are first-come, first-served. Access is via the Pine Ridge Trail from Big Sur Station Visitor Center (approximately 10 miles hiking distance). Parking at Big Sur Station costs $10 per vehicle per day.
