Star's Rest
About this site
Star's Rest is a backpack campsite in Sunol Regional Wilderness offering good views of Alameda Creek canyon and Mission Peak. It accommodates up to 30 persons with a picnic table, bench under large trees, and tent site on an open hilltop. It is a 0.2-mile walk to the outhouse. The site is part of the Sunol Backpack Area along the Ohlone Wilderness Trail, accessible only by hiking from the main park entrance. Reservations required at least two business days in advance. No fires allowed. Water available but must be treated. Pets not allowed. No showers or hookups.
