Spray Lakes West Campground is located in Spray Valley Provincial Park, 16 km south of Canmore on the Smith Dorrien/Spray Lakes Trail (Highway 742). The campground sits on the shores of Spray Lakes Reservoir in Kananaskis Country, Alberta. There are 63 unserviced campsites suitable for both RVs and tents, many of which are close to the lake. Amenities include modern washrooms with showers, potable water access, picnic tables, fire pits, and a sanitation dump station. Some sites feature electrical hookups. A hiker-biker camping area is available from July 5 to September 15, with food lockers, bike racks, and a bike tool maintenance stand. Firewood is available for purchase on site. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis and is typically open from May to October depending on weather conditions. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash. Guests can enjoy hiking trails, boating, fishing, and wildlife watching in the surrounding Rocky Mountain scenery.
