About this site
Spicer Reservoir Campground is located in the Stanislaus National Forest along the shore of the scenic 2,000-acre Spicer Reservoir. Operated by Royal Elk Park Management, this timbered campground provides a peaceful base for exploring the surrounding high Sierra landscape. The campground offers family single sites ($30/night) and double sites ($60/night), as well as a group site accommodating up to 60 people ($200/night). Beyond the water, visitors enjoy hiking and horseback riding on nearby trails. The campground is accessed via a winding, paved nine-mile drive from Highway 4 on Spicer Reservoir Road. Amenities include potable water, vault toilets, picnic tables, fire rings, and bear boxes. Some sites are situated close to the water while others are nestled farther back among the trees. RVs up to 50 feet can be accommodated. America the Beautiful Senior and Access passes are accepted for reduced camping fees at single sites.
