South Canyon Camp is a backcountry campsite accessible via a 6.5-mile hike from the South Canyon Trailhead (elevation drop from 5300 ft to 2850 ft at the Colorado River). Desirable campsites exist at the beach along the Colorado River. Small sites can be found along the way, but water is usually not available at these sites. Additional Info: Trailhead access is via House Rock road from Highway 89A at mile marker 559.5, following FR 632 to the parking area at the canyon's edge.
