About this site
A campground in the West Absaroka Mountains on the Yellowstone District. Snowbank Campground is located on the banks of Mill Creek, approximately 29 miles south of Livingston, in southwestern Montana. Visitors enjoy the area for its scenic natural beauty, and fishing and trail opportunities. This campground is not recommended for RV's over 30' in length. ***Closed for 2024. Bridge to Campground Washed Out in 2022 flood. Fee info: Overnight Use: Single Site: $20 (includes 2 driving vehicles) Extra Vehicle Fee: $8 per additional vehicle Additional Info: Snowbank Campground will be open for the 2025 camping season. The bridge has been repaired and will reopen on 5/16/2025. The campground offers 12 single-family sites and one group site (Site 12) accommodating up to 25 people. Picnic tables, campfire rings, vault toilets, drinking water, and trash collection are provided. Firewood is available for $10 per bundle. No showers or RV dump station available. Mill Creek offers fishing for whitefish, rainbow, brown, and cutthroat trout. Nearby trails include the 6.3-mile Wicked Ridge Trail.
