Skunk Hollow Camp

Skunk Hollow Camp is a primitive camping area nestled along the scenic Upper McCloud River Trail in Northern California, within the expansive Shasta-Trinity National Forest. Situated at an elevation of approximately 1109 meters, this free facility offers a tranquil riverside experience directly on the north shore of the McCloud River, providing a rustic base for exploring the region's natural beauty. Sites are beautifully located along the north shore of the river and well shaded by tall pine trees. Some sites feature sawn timber stumps for seating and large stone fire rings. However, there are no restrooms or potable water available, so campers must be self-sufficient.
