Seven Mile Hole
About this site
Backcountry campsite in Yellowstone National Park's Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Located approximately 20 feet above the Yellowstone River at the base of the canyon, accessible only by foot via the Seven Mile Hole Trail (approximately 5 miles one-way from the Glacial Boulder Trailhead near Inspiration Point). The site is situated among the final layer of trees before the canyon base. Multiple designated campsites are available in this area. The Yellowstone River provides the only reliable water source. Thermal features are present in the canyon; stay on designated trails and away from hot springs.
