About this site

Senator Wash South Shore is a 50-acre BLM recreation area located near the Colorado River in Imperial County, California, approximately 25 miles north of Yuma, Arizona. The site features flat, open desert terrain with two large gravel beaches providing access to Senator Wash Reservoir. Facilities include two restrooms with flush toilets, outdoor showers, and drinking water. An RV dump station and fresh water fill are available on site. The area offers opportunities for fishing (largemouth bass, black crappie, channel catfish), boating, hand-launched watercraft recreation, OHV riding, swimming, hiking, and wildlife viewing. ADA-accessible restroom facilities are provided. Overnight fee is $15; day-use is $10. Temperatures range from 40°F in winter to over 100°F in summer.
